Lutes – I have made 6, 7, 8, & 10 course Renaissance lutes. 11 & 13 course Baroque Lutes and a variety of Theorbos and arch lute. Some adhere to historical principles and others don't. I am happy to make either. Plans include instruments by Maler, Hieber and Widhelm. Baroque guitars – I have made two of these, as requests from musicians. One is a pared down instrument made from maple body and spruce soundboard. The other features a parchment rose and purfling. It has an ebony body and spruce soundboard. Viol – I've made two of these, also as requests from musicians. The first is a 'Bertrand' 7 string bass with carved spruce soundboard. The other is a 'John Rose' tenor with maple body and carved spruce soundboard.
